Survivors who choose to tell their stories do the bravest work we know. This is the careful, dignified way in. We do not collect testimony quickly. We do not collect it casually. We hold it the way it deserves to be held.
The Invitation
You may have lived through something history has tried to silence. You may carry the memory of someone whose name belongs in the record. You may have a story you have never told. There is no pressure to begin. There is only an open door.
Why We Preserve Stories
Some stories change families. Some change communities. A few change history. But every story has the power to remind us what it means to be human. We preserve testimony so future generations can learn from it.
Every story entrusted to us becomes part of humanity’s shared memory.
Some stories may one day become part of Stories in Color. Some may join our educational work. Some may remain private. All will be treated with dignity.
What You Can Expect

Your care comes before any deadline. We do not rush. We do not push. Trust is sacred, and once broken cannot be rebuilt.

You will know exactly how your story is used, where it travels, and what rights you retain, before anything is recorded.
