WHAT WE DO

WHO WE SERVE

Kind Kulture delivers three core programs across schools, civic institutions, and community organizations:

Storytelling for Healing

Facilitated workshops helping survivors, immigrants, and trauma-affected individuals process their stories and reclaim their voice. Delivered in community centers, women’s organizations, and wellness programs across Los Angeles.

Youth Voices

School and university-based programs helping young people explore identity, belonging, and the roots of division through guided storytelling. Outcomes measured through pre/post empathy scales, bystander intervention intent, and educator-reported classroom climate.

Law Enforcement & Community Dialogue

For eight years, Kind Kulture has facilitated structured dialogue between LAPD officers and the communities they serve — bringing survivors, immigrants, and young people into the same room as law enforcement to build understanding across difference. This is among the longest-running programs of its kind in Los Angeles.

HOW WE MEASURE IMPACT

We hold ourselves accountable to real outcomes, not just activity.

For youth programs, we track empathy scales before and after each session, bystander intervention intent, and educator-reported changes in classroom climate.

For dialogue sessions, we track participant-reported shifts in perception, willingness to engage across difference, and — over our eight-year law enforcement partnership — documented changes in how officers describe and engage with the communities they serve.

For publishing and cultural memory work, we track distribution reach, curriculum adoption, and cross-generational story preservation.
